This Privacy Policy explains how Table One Society ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit tableone.dk or submit a membership application. We are committed to processing your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Danish law.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

When you submit a membership application, we collect:

• Identity: first name, last name, date of birth, gender
• Contact: email address, phone number
• Address: street, city, region, postal code, country
• Professional: company, position
• Social: Instagram and TikTok profile handles (optional)
• Interests and preferences (selected goals, preferred communication channel)
• A self-description and an optional profile picture

3. Why we collect it

We use the data you submit to review your membership application, decide whether to invite you to join, and communicate with you about the outcome. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing your application data is your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given when you submit the application form. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us — withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

5. Data retention

If your application is unsuccessful, we delete your data within 12 months of the decision. If you become a member, we retain your data for the duration of your membership and for any period required by law thereafter.

6. Who we share data with

We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Data is processed on our behalf by infrastructure providers (hosting, email, form submission) under data processing agreements. We do not transfer your data outside the EEA unless suitable safeguards are in place.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Request restriction of processing
• Object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet)

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

This site does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and a cookie notice will be displayed.
